Because drugs are measured in metric terms. I don’t know why, its just how it is.
because they are produced in places that use metric system and it is more accurate of the actual package weight
metric units are used worldwide as lbs are mostly used in the U.S. alone and as you may know drugs come from other countries and they deasl in kg.
I think that in the United States, they use the metric form and use kilograms. In other areas of the world, they use pounds (lbs.)
The metric system is dominant in every other country but the US… and has always been used for illegal drugs. I would assume it is because a great portion of them are imported – from those countries I initially mentioned (that use the metric system)
Also, in the preparation of most lab made recreational drugs, the chemicals used are measured in metrics; mls, grams, kilo’s… etc.
Typically cocaine is measured in kilograms weed is measured in lbs. crystal meth is measured in oz.’s it depends on the mass of the drug.
