Why is North working for Fox when he did those things? Probably because he didn’t demand as much money as G. Gordon Liddy, who actually planning bombings right here at home, and still hosts a nationally-syndicated radio show, where he’s said the kind of things that make Limbaugh sound reasonable by comparison.

Yes, North WAS convicted. So was Liddy. Hillary’s husband was acquitted.

Alleged is the operative word here, which means it was never proved! What is fact is, Ollie North is a true American, whole unselfishly served his country, and is a true Hero! He’s a real man!

I believe the operative word here is ‘alleged.’ North spoke before Congress and cleaned up the floor with them. So just what crime are you accusing him of that the judicial system has not?

Scout… Sorry, but North was initially convicted of the accusations against him, but all his convictions were vacated in 1990. And he was never convicted of drug trafficking… a crime he vehemently denies to this day. So no matter what you might think of him, he is an innocent man in the eyes of the law.

At the time the right treated him as a hero. There were Ollie North for President t-shirts all over the place. I think that the folks on the right don’t care about Democracy as much as they like capital imperialism. Thats essentially what the Reagan administration was instituting through their covert actions.
By the way, it was almost only cocaine.
One of the guys who was most responsible for being paid by the US government to import cocaine was a guy named Barry Seal. There’s a great movie about him. Here’s more info;

Apparently Fox is so politically biased towards the right that they will take a person who essentially committed high treason against the constitution of the United States, and make him a commentator because they agree with his political affiliation.
Once again, this proves, among so many other things, that Fox is NOT fair and balanced.
