The Carmen Winstead story is indeed real. Im sorry to say it, but it is. My cousin that lives in Indiana, and she actually saw it. For one, why would people say that it wasn’t on the news, of course their not gonna mention a disaster like that. And the meth is not ONLY on myspace, it goes around in text messages, and everything else, oh and another thing, why would everyone keep sending the forward if they didn’t belive?

ok, if it’s real and you believe it.. ( i wouldn’t know… i only ask because…..) why is it in the MYTHology and FOLKlore section?????
?????
what is your reasoning?
everyone thinks and scholars claim the blair witch is fake…. but i lived in maryland and heard about the connections of the cumberland babykiller and blair witch… which the cumberland babykiller is real..
which was connected to the blair witch.
no one cares.. but that’s not the point..
so.. why is it here? mythology is just that, myth…. urban legend what some call later….
i’d reclassify this.
yes i know there was a book written in the late 19th. century based on what we call the blair witch now.. but that person accusedly knew a babykiller (who also killed their family and nearby friends and neighbors to cover up their criminal activity.. they were not well people from what i was told) and that baby killer was also the same one later who killed their offspring again near a creek now they call crybaby creek, which some claim you can hear the murder of the child echoing in the stream and breeze when you walk over the bridge.
the person was a female.. she was a pagan and abused for her belief.. i think? and she wasn’t well to begin with and was abused then criticized badly and i guess she flipped acording to ‘legend’ and got her revenge.
but lesson never learned… never mess with sick folks.
Carmen Winstead Ghost Story
The Carmen Winstead story is a classic Internet “urban legend.” The story started on MySpace from three teenage girls trying to see how many friends they could get from it.
According to the story, Carmen was accidentally killed when her “friends” pushed her down a sewer. Now she will visit a horrible death upon anybody who doesn’t post her story on their MySpace page. Later versions of this story were sent as more conventional e-mail chain letters. There’s also a nearly identical version with a victim named Jessica Smith There is no news report from any reliable news agency that records any story similar to the Carmen Winstead / Jessica Smith hoaxes.

thanks metallica now i remember what it was about, you really gonna trust chainmail?
It seems with all these myths that there is always someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows first hand. Yes some do believe but they are mostly the young impressionable.
