I bought some apple cider at a farmers market and since it isn’t pasteurized, i’m told it will become alcoholic eventually. It’s already become carbonated. How long does it take for apple cider to become alcoholic?
depending on how long it has been made, it should mature in about 2-4 months, after this there’s a chance it will to convert to vinegar .. oh, and keep it in a cool spot .. if you’ve never tried ‘proper’ cider it will taste strange at first, but keep at it, the worst that can happen is a belly ache, and it wont be dangerous — after 2 weeks, just taste it .. what your actually talking about is “Scrumpy” and it can’t become cider since it hasn’t had a culture added
Be careful, keep it sealed against air pollution,
