I jus saw a thing on the news about how the NYPD cracked down on a bunch of places where people are growing pot and I wanted to know now, what do they do with the pot they seize, what about the guns and knives they get?? The cocaine and all those thing, where do they go to, I know some gets taken by some crooked cops to be sold again or used but..the Procedural stuff,….thanks
they destroy it or sell it to other countries or sometime just push it back out into the market if they’re playing the bad cop game.
After a bust it all gets checked into evidence and is held in the evidence room until court. There it is used to prove the case and all that fun stuff. After the conviction they still must maintain the evidence because of appeals and all that. After that I think they may destroy it, but I am not completely sure if they destroy it or what.
After the criminal case is done, the items are incinerated.
