Some people learn from their mistakes, while others just keep making the same ones over and over again. People should let their conscience be their guides when it comes to this years vote. Obama is no different than any other politician and should have his past scrutinized just as much as any other. Yes, his past SHOULD be remembered because how a person has been in the past does show how he will most likely be in the future. Who a person associates with and calls a close friend does influence who he is and how he thinks about things.
I would expect the same scrutiny for any candidate. I would also expect all the candidates to be willing to pass that scrutiny in order to show that they are capable of being what we need for a leader. Obama supporters, like all other voters, need to do one thing before deciding for sure who to vote for. Research. Find out everything you can about the candidates, not just what you hear on the news or from the candidates themselves, but looking at their voting records and what they’ve achieved or didn’t achieve in their past. THEN and ONLY THEN, vote for the candidate that you feel is the best one for the job.
