Former australian cricketer Shane Warne is in trouble again. Warne was arrested at 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning for suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of cocaine after police stopped him outside Sugar Daddy’s, a Scottsdale, AZ nightclub. Believe it or not, Sugar Daddy’s is NOT a strip club.
Reports indicate Warne, driving alone, backed his BMW out of the club’s parking lot without noting oncoming traffic and nearly hit a parked sheriff’s car. One of three officers working on a special holiday DUI task force pulled him over and, as he approached the vehicle, “observed a white powder substance on the center console of the vehicle. Warne was wiping the dash off as I approached”. Warne voluntarily submitted to a field sobriety test … which he failed. Officers then discovered “two bags of a white powder substance … in his back left pocket. In addition, a bag was located on the driver seat in a Marlboro cigarettes pack”.
According to a police statement, Warne “admitted to using today and stated he is an addict and has a problem. Warne admitted to possessing bags of cocaine and said he uses any time he can get his hands on it.”
