He basically said that Richard Gasquet kissed a girl in a party and got tested positive for cocaine but how can cocaine be transferred into other person’s blood by just kissing I think the French Open defeat has gone in to his head. I read the interview from roland garros official page. I think he’s just backing up a good friend of his (gasquet). maybe that’s what gasquet told him (he said they talked on the phone) and he believed it.
I think he’s just trying to defend his friend and countryman. He knows Gasquet did cocaine, Gasquet knows Gasquet did cocaine, he admitted it, so Rafa is just being supportive. And who knows, maybe in a couple weeks we’ll hear of Nadal doing cocaine because of his defeat and blaming it on Federer.

He actually said this before he lost to Soderling. I agree that it isn’t the greatest example but I get what he’s saying. The threshold level needed for a positive drug test is much less (I heard it was less than half) than the legal level. If Gasquet knowingly used cocaine, he must not have his head right. How can he do such a thing if they are constantly getting tested and the punishment is so severe? But if he didn’t intentionally use cocaine, I hope he can sucessfully fight the charges, however difficult it may be.

He is being a good friend and defending him, but i think gasquet really did do cocaine… maybe the story is that he did it at a party one time or something, but who knows…
He wasn’t saying that’s definitely what happened, he was just saying it’s a possibility :S I think it’s nice that he defended Richard :)
What do you want him to say, that the result of the test was undeniably true and that Richard’s lying ?
If a kiss from a drug abuser or user can get one positive to a test, then the tests are screwed up and that turns Nadal to be genius as detective. But get real, it is one of the most unheard of and I believe he was trying to defend his friend. Yeah, he tried and no one is going to budge on it.
