It does not kill you.. the only thing is, because you are inhaling smoke into your lungs, it can contribute to lung diseases

I would be very surprised to ever hear of a person dying from it. Maybe in an extreme case somebody has been bending over to light one up and accidentally hit a phone poll or something (lol), but I would be very surprised indeed to hear of someone dying from it. The focus really needs to be on these other life destroying drugs, especially alcohol. It could however give you lung cancer, but I don’t think there has ever been an actual confirmed and proven study on this. I could be wrong….
Yeah I’ve NEVER heard anything like that about weed. It’s stupid! Weed should NOT be legal. Alcohol is WAY worse! Someone once said that a drunk driver will run a stop sign, a high person will stop and wait for it to turn green. It’s not literal but it makes a great point.

Weed does not kill, it is the stupid decisions people make while high that does. Not all people just mellow out when they smoke weed. In that way it is very much like alcohol, which also usually doesn’t kill the abuser just the innocents outside the vehicle.

Not directly. I can’t imagine someone “overdosing” on marijuana. You are right to say it’s not as harmful as other drugs and alcohol.
But indirectly it can kill you….
Hypothetical examples:
You get really high, and you get the munchies. Well, sounds like a good time to drive to Taco Bell right? Too bad your senses are dumbed down a bit, and your reactions are slower. Getting in that car and driving to get some food could end in a car accident- killing you or someone else.
Also, regularly smoking weed can affect your airways and lungs- just like cigarettes. Recent studies have shown that smoking one joint is actually equivalent to smoking 5 cigarettes. No, you may not overdose and die immediately- but in reality it can be slowly killing you.
They key is being responsible about your choices. Yes it’s illegal. Whether or not it should be is up to debate. You have to make your own decision on whether it’s worth the gamble. But if you choose to smoke, just be smart and don’t put others at risk.

Doyle Benson, in 1985, he was a 17 year old from Brooklyn, NY. His father was pissed at him for smoking pot and forced him to go outside, naked, and stand in the middle of the street yelling to the neighbors and God he was a druggie and begged their forgiveness. A car turning the corner didn’t see him and struck him; he died three days later of injuries. So, I guess you could say that was one person who died as a result of smoking pot.
Other than that, it is a substance considered beneficial for longevity, and other than Doyle, I don’t think anyone has ever OD’d on pot unless the pot was cut with something dangerous.

You will have to consult law enforcement records of DUI cases because they don’t separate the alcohol, cocaine and heroine ones from the weed ones when they publish death reports of car accidents. In addition, no one has counted the stupid idiots who got their friends or themselves killed because they were high during combat. If you think it doesn’t kill, you are greatly mistaken.
