what’s a good alcoholic beverage to drink if you’ve never drank before?

I have never had an alcoholic drink before before. I tried Corona Extra Beer and it was gross! I want something that I can buy and drink at home, something that tastes good but I don’t want to get drunk just like feel a buz and I will be around children.

Get a bottle of Baileys Irish Creme. Its a simple drink, tastes yummy and has just a lil alcohol…

Southern comfort, pineapple juice and grenadine. It’s called a Texas Watermelon and tastes like fruit punch.

Here a radical thought – don’t drink at all – especially around children. All it takes is a lapse in judgment and someone could get hurt. Just think of all those accidents where the person states “All I had was a couple of beers.”

Just get “high” off life and be done with it

There are no GOOD alcoholic beverages. And did you know that we are all potential alcoholics, and the way to find out for sure is to drink alcohol.
And, please, if you’re around children, don’t drink at all. It is almost impossible to just drink one or two drinks. Very few people can say no to a third drink.

If you’re not used to drinking, I would not recommend Southern Comfort or Vodka — they’re about 50% alcohol. Until you know how your body handles it, try wine, rather than hard liquor. Vodka is especially tricky because it’s pretty much tasteless and you can drink way more than you meant to without realizing it.

    Try wine or alcopops…..

Becarefu of spirits (infact stay away from them at first) as they could end up knocking you drunk with one shot…

You need to educate yourself about alcohol before starting taking it. Since you say that all you want is a little buzz while you’re around children, my answer is that it’s a VERY BAD IDEA! Apparently you want to get intoxicated. Educate yourself about alcoholism before you take that road.

If you drink creamy and sweet stuff like Irish cream you’ll take a lot of calories from fat and sugar in addition to the calories from alcohol.

It is the sugar added to the alcohol that makes people drunk and sick to their stomach.

The only alcohol that will give you a buzz without making you sick is extremely pure white alcohol from fruit or grain like vodka or gin of the best quality, drunk NEAT or on ice.
