Why is Obama smoking cigarettes…again?

June 10, 2008 2:14 PM

ABC News’ Sunlen Miller Reports: Senator Barack Obama told reporters in St. Louis today that he has fallen off the wagon and smoked cigarettes in the last few months.

Makes you wonder about what other things he has “fallen off the wagon” for. Cocaine, perhaps?

Why is it any of your business? Oh that’s right, it’s not.

  2. Jeff G says:

Usually Obama supporters whine that McCain’s age is relevant to his health, then when you bring this up they’ll say “Oh get over it! It’s none of your business”

  3. O'Really says:

he’s doing his part to stimulate the economy

  4. Tom B says:

He smoked a cigarette! Wow! Thats more important than a withdrawal from Iraq according to McCain supporters

  5. electrochemist says:

    He’s addicted.

  6. Rayne Storm says:

Nicotine is actually more addictive than cocaine or heroin, you can look that up, it’s a fact

In times of high stress, many smokers who have quit, will pick up the cigarettes again

I’d say that Obama may be under just a little bit of pressure at the moment

BTW, I’m not voting for Obama…But, facts are facts

  14. Haters Tend to Report Me Often says:

It’s nice to know you’re focused on the issues.

  15. Last Ranger says:

One, he no longer needs the votes of the anti-smoking zealots.

Two, he is the anointed, he can do what ever he wants, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Three, he has realized that he can get away with anything and the press will say nothing.

And if anything is ever said he will make yet another wonderful speech.
    And, all will be forgiven.

  16. Mew Mew says:

good. maybe he will smoke a fag with me.

    weak willed

    soft and mushy brain
    lack of intelligence

no discipline ..just like bill clinton …and we all saw how much control he had and where it ended up.

maybe he will develop lung cancer in 3 months

he is 49..if he doesnt stop the odds are he will develop cancer while president are 40 percent…the odds mccain will die are 30 percent..we are in bad shape with either one

    Oh nooooo!!!
The obama bashers have finally done it!!!
They got him…he’s a horrible person!!
He can’t possibly be a good president if he smokes cigarettes a couple of times.
Oh this ch ages Everything now!!

Losers…so freakin’ what. Bush drinks alcohol, which has obviously clouded his judgment while supposedly leading this country.

  19. browncornfish says:

It shows he is human. You are a minister. Do passages such as these ring a bell?

-For all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.

-Let he that is without sin cast the first stone.

He is as human as the rest of us. He puts his pants on the same way we do and struggles with things too. I like Obama as he is not a phony created image like McCain.

  20. Jules says:

    I’m sure.

  21. william f says:

Probably! And of course it is our business what he chooses to do and who he chooses to hang out with when he’s running for the highest office in the country!

  22. Fred Head says:

Thanks for sharing… I never knew that.

But hey, Clinton smoked pot. But you’ll get some people on here who still say “focus on the issues”.

The president of the U.S. should not “be like everyone else”. They should be held to a higher standard. Then again, maybe integrity doesn’t count for oval office.

  23. A nobody says:

listening to the man talk without the telepromter, I hope he’s smoking cigarettes, but they way he speaks he may be smoking other things.

No one can be that messed up on cigarettes,
