do you mean a sober assistant? if so, then it’s basically a supportive companion to help with the transition from a life of addiction to one without. after years of addiction it’s hard to know what to do with yourself… they help to show you how to live without the drug ruling your life because they have been through the same thing.

In the states we call this person a sponsor-someone with a considerable amount of good clean recovery time-a person the same sex as yourself that has a sponsor, goes to meetings and works the steps of recovery. When you first stop using drugs or alcohol you have to change your friends and places you hung out at. You have to learn a whole new way to deal with life, problems and life in general. A sponsor helps you to learn to accept life as a recovering person without using any type of drugs or alcohol.
Meth is a very hard drug to recovery from. I have worked with 100′s of women addicted to meth and very few recover for the long run. The best way to deal with Meth addiction is with a sponsor. Please feel free to read my profile and email me if you have other specific questions. God Bless ReggieR
Sober assistance is a part of addiction recovery program where a recovering addict will go to a transition period. Sober assistance will prevent an addict to crave for drugs.
