Perhaps your allergic to something in alcohol. Could be a good thing. Just because you can’t drink alcohol doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time. You can even be a designated driver and maybe save a life or jail time to a friend. Look at the positive side of this.
you could have an allergy to alcohol, which means if you don’t want to feel sick then you shouldn’t drink alcohol.
or you could have an allergy to something in the alcohol.
Is it only certain types of alcohol or is it any alcohol? yeast is a common ingredient in in the fermentation process, if you have an allergy to yeast then any foods w/ yeast in them will give you problems.
if you have celiac’s disease which means your body can’t process glutens then you won’t be able to drink alcohol products that are not distilled, such as beer, ale, lager, etc. as these alcohols are made w/ grains that aggravate the celiac’s disease. But alcohols that are distilled remove the gluten protein.
you need to figure out what your issue is and modify your life because what is merely an intolerence can grow to a full blown allergy and food allergies can be lethal.
as to drinking water w/ your alcohol. If you’re dehydrated then the alcohol will hit your system harder and faster. If you are well hydrated then the alcohol will take longer to take effect.
