Question by Marina Gate: What is your personal definition of binge drinking?
I am currently writing a 10,000 word research project on the Current increase of binge drinking in Britain, would be interesting to know how individual people define the term ‘Binge Drinking’

I would say any more than 3 pints of beer in an hour or more than 6 pints in a night. I know the health dept says that it is a lot less but they don’t know how to party!
Binge drinking is a load of rubbish, I drink about once or twice a week, pretty much only when I go out with my mates, I’ll drink about 6 or 7 pints in that night, that is classified as binge drinking. Whenever someone talks about binge drinking it always reminds me of the Frankie Boyle joke, “Everybody going on about Binge drinking, isn’t it awful, I don’t get it isn’t binge drinking what we used to call DRINKING, there also saying people are going on two, three day drinking binges, isn’t that what we used to call the WEEKEND!”
