Question by mathiasdynomite: What are some alcoholic drinks that actually taste good?
I’m trying to find an alcoholic drink that will taste good to me, I’m 22 and have never been able to find anything alcoholic that I really liked the taste of, and whenever I go out with friends I’m usually the only one who’s not really drinking (or drunk eventually), which kinda sucks sometimes. Can anyone recommend anything for me? If it helps, I like soda a lot, like Coca Cola, 7up, Sprite, Mountain Dew, etc. so maybe something simple with soda mixed in I would like.

If you like friuty stuff:
Green Pucker and Yellow Gatorade.
Orange Juice and Bacardi
Hard core stuff:
Shots of Chocolate bacardi
woodchuck ale. Yummy.
How can it not taste good? Maybe try some Red Bull and Vodka or GG(((Grey Goose))) and cranberry juice, or Captain and coke or stick wit beer (i never used to like it but now its good) I’m 23 and always the one who’s f***ed up at the end of the night.
captain morgan with a good combo fruit juice, sex on the beach, 7up good tequilla,salt and lemon is pretty good when mixed right.
Dr. McGillicuddy’s cherry or vanilla with coke. Tastes just like cherry or vanilla coke. Mix the vanilla one with cranberry juice and it tastes like cherry cheesecake… haha go figure. If you do end up like Dr. McGillicuddy’s check out this website. It will show you how to make other drinks with the vanilla one.

get malibu and coke. its a coconut rum (i think) but it tastes seriously like candy. and mixing it with coke is like heaven.

Here are a few recipes that I know off hand, so hopefully one of these will work for you.. good luck!!
Raspberry Mojito: ( tastes like a raspberry soda with a hint of mint flavor)
Handful fresh mint leaves
3 whole fresh raspberries
Juice of 1 lime
2 teaspoons sugar
Ice
1 1/2 ounces spiced rum
3 oz Sprite
Directions:
In a highball glass, muddle the mint, raspberries, lime juice and sugar. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice; add the rum and shake for 15 seconds. Pour into the glass and top with the sprite.
Rainstorm:
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao or Schnapps
2/3 lemonade mix
1/3 coke
(served on rocks)
Pear Coke:
1 oz Rum
2 oz pear mix
fill coke
Directions:
ice rocks Add 2 oz flavor mix or Schnapps for a Cherry, Peach, Blackberry, Raspberry, Strawberry, or Wildberry Pear Rum & Coke
Sex on the sidewalk:
.5 shot Chamborde
.5 shot Midori
3/4 shot cranberry
fill with mountain dew
***serve on rocks!!
Malibu Dew:
Malibu coconut rum
Midori (melon liquor)
pineapple juice
top off with mountain dew
For your shizzle:
1 shot of malibu rum
pineapple juice
sprite
***serve over ice!!
Yellow Bird:
1 oz Spiced Rum
Orange Juice
Splash of 7up or Sprite
Splash of Galliano
Splash of Grenadine
Carribean Kiss:
1oz Captain Morgan
1oz Malibu Rum
Equal parts 7up & Pineapple juice
Contraeu
Otter Pop: (it tastes like the frozen otter pops)
1 oz Chambord Raspberry Liqueur
1 oz Blue Curacao
1/2 sweet & sour mix
1/2 sprite
****splash of cream or milk ice strain up
Hot Pop:
2 oz Hot Cinnamon Schnapps
fill coke
Malibu Island Breeze:
3 or more ounces of Malibu.
Pineapple juice
Tonic water or club soda to fizz taste
Dash of Orange juice
caribou lou
if you like vodka then coke and stoli is good
or, for something fancier, you could go with a pointsettia (it has another name i just can’t remember it) its half a glass of champagne, a shot of cointreau and top it off with a mixture of orange and cranberry juice
or, a peach belini is also very good if you like fruitty things. you can buy belini mix in a can and mix it with prosecco sparkling wine..its great!

I love mountain dew with captain morgan’s. You can adjust to your liking but a good ratio to start is one shot per can.
