if he can’t live without them, then it’s bad. he needs help, BEFORE you marry him. he needs rehab.

It is bad if he needs them.
Tell him up front that you are worried about it, if he want help he will get it, you can not force him to do something.
Maybe get article about it or tell him a story that you read telling him the DOWN FALL it has on Ones Life.
DO NOT NAG him about it.
Tell him It only gets worst, His tolerance will go higher and higher until it takes 6 pills to do the job one did a few months ago.. It’s all a real waste of money and he’ll just bring you down with him.
Does your fiance think he has a problem? Perhaps he would be willing to go talk with a counsellor. Don’t wait, intervene now. It will only get harder as time goes on.
