Question by MAI: I am a recovery meth addict unsure of my future with bf who also is a recovery addict hes been clean longer?
my bf has been cleaner longer he has been incarcerated since 1/1/07 and wont come out till 8/08. I kept useing meth even after he was arrested for beating me(which is why he’s incarcerated) now Ive been clean since 6/23/07 due to him incrediably i wasnt ordered rehab or any counseling but because of his supportive words he has helped me quit. ironically enuff. but ever1 and statistically speaken we r doom we are told repeatly that we shouldnt be 2gether. we love each other very much has any1 gone through this and made it any advice would be apreciated. thanks

being together is a good idea i believe you would have a partner that under stands what you are going Thur and you’d be able to hold each other accountable.meth is a dangerous drug you are going to need all the support you can get.good luck.
For gods sakes if one of you falls of the wagon help the other get back up ! Don’t join them or leave them alone. You should both be there to catch each other. You stick with that the 2 of you will be UNBREAKABLE !
Trust me i had to loose my wife and daughter to learn that one. And the hardest part of staying sober is the living with the mistakes i made when i should have been !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
