Q&A: Why does my arm hurt after I drink alcohol?

Question by mellers40: Why does my arm hurt after I drink alcohol?
There have been times in the past when I would drink alcohol and for a short while I would have an ache in my limbs, mainly my arms. This would not last long, especially if I had more alcohol. My friends led me to believe that this wasn’t uncommon.

About 4 hours ago, I was at dinner with some friends and I ordered a drink. By the end of dinner I experienced the slight ache again in my arms. The pain in one arm went away just as fast as usual, but my other arm still aches. My right arm hurts below the shoulder in the upper bicep/tricep area as well as on the inside of my wrist, just below my palm.

This is the first time my arm has hurt like this, so I don’t know for sure if something else caused it. Come to think of it I did travel today so it’s possible that my arm could be a little worn from my luggage.

I’m just a little nervous because I saw something on the news a week ago or so about how pain after drinking can be a bad sign.

When you drink it clogs up your archerys and your vains, Expecially iff you drink tons and dont eat. Its not good iff you get that, I got that with alchehol and thats why i dont touch the stuff because its your blood having trouble getting through your veins, Causing you to have a pounding pain in lets say, Your leg… Or your ram.
