Question by Lauren: I would like to work in addictions counseling but need help selecting a major..?
I know that I want to work with addictions counseling, but at a lot of the schools I am looking to transfer into, I can only concentrate in that field, not directly major in it. I’m not a huge fan of psychology, so what other majors are out their that I can study in undergraduate work?

Consider all of the ramifications that these people will suffer and take classes in those areas, i.e. family counseling, physical abuse, corrections, juvenile treatment, social work, financial counseling, vocational specialties, housing markets, GED workshops, Adult Education, ESL classes, etc.
