@Mind0verM4tter i wonder how you are now. drinking was never a problem for me until recently. im 24 and i can see that it will not improve and i want to eliminate alcohol from my life. it only brings destruction. take a step back and think how it iwll be down the road. i hope you are well now .

Sadly young people these days still start drinking. And they know the risks. But they still do it. I dont get it.

I agree w/gibbonexchange…that is why we get to the point where we can follow directions from other people who have been where we have been. We found that OUR way does not work.
I think it’s great that he made the choice to come out of it again. ofcourse it was a mistake walking away from everyone he loved but people make mistakes.
Obviously he still had it in him and was clever enough to know that he was going in the wrong direction. So I would only hope and pray for him for the best.

Alcholism is a disease, to some people it causes a mental obsession triggered by a physical compulsion. Once an alcoholic has had one drink, he needs more. No, one sets out to be an alcoholic it is a progressive illness.
