Question by Just Another Women: How hard is it not to relapse on Meth, if you have been clean for 180 days?
My husband, secretly had been doing drugs, meth, for some years now. Was good at hiding it from me, then when busted, and went thru rehab, and now has been gone for months, can he possibly stay clean? He says he will never use again, but how can you trust that? What if he gets upset, mad, over stuff when he gets home? How do you ever trust again?

There is no way to predict what will happen, but he will always be at risk of using some type of drug. Maybe he could earn your trust and keep it by participating in a continuing support program, and expect to lose that trust if he quits participating??.

Bad things happen to bad people but bad things happen to good people as well, stay close and help out all you can
Life is short. Think about yourself for a while and plan an exit strategy. A recovering drug addict is still a drug addict. The addiction will always be there. If he still is friends with people he used with, if he still hangs out at the same places he used meth at and if he still does the same things he did while doing meth, there is a good chance of relapse.
It’s a scary proposition for you. You want to help someone you love who, through his addiction, is causing you and your relationship a lot of pain. I can only tell you that if you decide to walk away for good, it hurts at first but then it’s like breathing after you’ve been suffocating for a long time. I know.
