Question by E.M.C.: How much meth does it take to mess up a baby?
I have a friend who wasnt really addicted to meth but she used it three or four times over the course of 4 or 5 months. Then she got pregnant but before she knew she was pregnant she used it one more time. What are the chances she will have a healthy baby and even if its not healthy how bad will it be?

um i dont know it could be born addicted to meth just like if u drink ur baby can be born addicted to alcohol and better never try it
It only takes once for most any drug. Well it can only take once, maybe she will get lucky maybe not. Probably the babe will be healthy at birth but suffer some later consequences. That’s too bad.
The thought of this situation just makes my stomach turn. Any drug can “mess up” a baby and adults too. Tell your “friend” that she needs to consult her OB to help her make the best decisions moving forward for her and her baby.
it depends on when exactly she used it .
different parts of the baby develop at different weeks . so if she took it while the limbs were being formed ,. then maybe it might be missing a few fingers or the arm isn’t fully formed .. get my drift .
But there are drug addicted crack whores that have babies who are healthy ..
she’ll be fine, if its only once before she knew she was pregnant… i was drinking heaps and partying and didnt realise i was pregnany until 12 weeks and my son is fine…
there’s nothing we can do about it if we didnt know we were pregnant…

there are heaps of unfit mothers out there that constantly use hard drugs througout the whole pregnancy and their babies (most of them) are born fine, but with drug addictions – what i’m trying to say that one hit of meth prob wont do much at all to harm the baby
