Question by Jenni: Friend smokes weed, does Meth and cocaine wants me to help him but I dont know how too?
I suggested rehab he said No. I am not going to turn him in thats not me. I try to get myself out of it but he always comes back to me. NEED HELP & ADVICE.
hes doing it 5 times a week for 3 months already.

Ah, my bro was like that but just for weed… What ended happening was if he found a way to smoke weed, he blamed it on me. He wants someone to blame should he fail at quitting. Don’t let yourself get involved. It is true that the only person who can help him is HIMSELF, or his parents (parents aren’t afraid to get mean)

You need to get him to see his doctor, but if he has said no to rehab all you could do is move in with him and make him go cold turkey, have seen this done, it’s very extreme and think you would need more support than just you if you were going to do this. How can you help someone who does not want to help themselves by going into rehab, your friend is asking the impossible of you.
Don’t let him pull you into his destructive life.Sometimes you have to go your own way.
Weed is not a problem. Cocaine, meth and weed combined are. In this situation, try your best to be always with him, and dont let him take meth or cocaine. Let him only smoke weed for now. I dont have any personal experience with cocaine, but from what i seen heroin is only things that’s worst then it is (in case you are addicted to it) I cant give you a specific answer that will do it since you probably wont agree to it.
Do not get any professional help, that will destroy him even worse psychologically.
Depends upon how much you care about him. If you really care, you will tell him he needs help, and that you will help him in every way you can if he will get into a program. If he will not, you cannot ruin your life while he ruins his. I have been around this problem a bit. Meth and coke are very destructive and addictive drugs. All addicts are liars and always will be. Thus, you will never be able to trust him as long as he is doing these drugs. Without trust, you cannot be a friend or lover. So if he wants you in his live in any capacity, he needs to get help, and help should be in the form of a detox program followed by rehab. There should be no need to “turn him in.”
By the way, it can take months or years to convince an addict to get help. Withdrawing yourself from his life, until he comes around to accepting help, can accelerate his decision to get better.

Goddamn I’m actually getting tired of saying this but…they can only quit if they want to. They cant want to want to, they have to actually want to. Him saying he “wants you to help him (quit?)” is just a way for him to keep everything going the way it is. He (like it or not) is putting blame on you, saying “you’re” the reason he doesnt stop because he asked for help and you arent helping. Hes stuck on the treadmill, you need to get back on the track instead of wasting your life.
