or having a 750 ml bottle of wine or other cocktail in one night usually every friday, saturday and sunday is this binge drinking or alcholism? what are the consequences if a person does this? long term and short term and can a person cause permanent damage by doing this or not if yes, how long would it take?

No, it wouldn’t be binge drinking. If it was 80 proof liquor (or rum) it might be, but this 750 ml cocktail mix bottle is probably from 8 – 18 proof. This means there is MUCH less ethanol or alcohol in it.

Drinking the whole bottle is probably equal to having 6 drinks, enough to make some people sick with all that sugar, quite tipsy but not drunk unless they’re inexperienced.

Short term the person will only have a hangover the next days. Long term from drinking this one bottle – eventually they’ll learn hangovers hurt and will not drink this syrupy stuff. Hopefully!

    No. Binge drinking is when you drink continuously over a period of several days.
