should I take the lie detector test?

Question by deb: should I take the lie detector test?
I am a nurse that is in recovery from drug addiction. I have been clean for 3 years now. I went thru over 2 years of rehab which was a requirement of the nursing board and completed it without any problems. And my record is clear. I have remained clean and attend my weekly meetings. At work there was a narcotic discrepency and I was called in to do a urine drug screen which I passed and am now being asked to do a polygraph test. I am innocent but am afraid that some of the questions of my past may implicate me. what should I do?

In Texas they can only ask about the single incident and have to have a reason to suspect you. like you were in the room where it was..
Good luck and stay clean..

wow, congrats on staying clean!! you took a big step! great job! keep it up..

and you took a urine test, they shouldnt need a lie test, but sometimes the test can be wrong.. i would be nervous to take it incase it would be wrong.. but if you dont take it, you will look guilty

If your employment is going be determined by the test, do you have a choice? Consult them on what areas and times are they going to inquire, and decide from that.
