Question by roland d: If I quit drinking for a year, would all of my previous cognitive deficits recovery such as memory and attenti?
I have been drinking since I was 19 and am 24 now. I have noticed small but significant deficits in learning and memory, especially after some episodic binge drinking. I now plan on staying sober for the remainder of my college career (about 2 more years) and was wondering if all of these deficits would subside or if I have done any irreversible brain damage.

I don’t think you’ve done anything malor or perminant. but I’m NOT a doctor.. my Dad and Grandpa both drank so much for so long that it killed them… but that was for many many many years more than you have been drinking. my dad alone drank for around 20 years. If you slow down at least and limit what you drimk you will probably be ok..
