Alcohol or sedatives will help with the crash, but any way you look at it you are going to have to go through the withdrawal.
Better now, though, then when you are forced to by the courts, a jail cell or hospital.
I know that withdrawal is one of the most terrible feelings in the world, but it’s very very hard to come off a drug like meth, especially by yourself. Find some friends or family members who are willing to support you no matter what you say to them or do. They need to completely understand the fact that you are going to be going through a great amount of stress and pain. A great part of coming off of a drug is the amount of support one recieves.
My suggestion to you would be to go cold turkey, and make sure you have plenty of distractions. And no matter what you do, don’t trade one bad habit for another. Such as taking up smoking to help you come off meth. If you are having a hard time doing it cold turkey, try and visit a good rehab center, and follow their program rigorously. Coming off this drug is going to effect your entire life. And there is probably no way to avoid the crash.
I wish you the best of luck.
Quit doing drugs!!!!!! Don’t need rehab, don’t need other drugs to quit drug of choice, just have to really want to quit. It don’t hurt to ask God for help.
Hi there,
I have been where you are EXACTLY.
I’ll give the long and short of it.
The drug Ativan will help you come off of it. It’s not perfect, but it’s infinitely better using it. I seriously thought I was crazy when I was coming off of meth. Ativan helped. Miraculously, I was able to sleep, and function. I suggest taking it for more than just coming down. Your brain receptors will be screaming for more meth, and it will be uncomfy without Ativan. But be careful, you don’t want to substitute one drug for another. You really need to be monitored.
Also, for me, it took a really long time to feel like myself again. You will want to re-use a lot. It was about a year before I felt half way normal. It’s important that you get a support system in place. I understand the resistance to rehab, but please consider it. I understand that it didn’t work for you before. But quitting takes practice!!!!!! I know it sucks. And maybe you can clean up without it, but it will be a lot harder.
Feel free to email me.
And best of luck.

I used to smoke pot to help cope with being down.
I’m sorry to say this to you but you can’t avoid a come down from meth. It’s the worse and theres no way escaping it. You shouldn’t have done it in the first place and you would have avoided all this. But like a normal addict most do what you do. And if your not willing to quit like actually have the dedication to do so. No rehab will be able to help you.
