he has abused many substances and i fear that he has used crystal meth lately with is uncle

once they are over 18 you dont really have any legal power over him so not on that front but you may be able to use your powers of persuasion. Say that he is pulling the family apart ? offer to pay for it ? Give him the attention that he needs when he goes to rehab this will give moral support that will help him get over the drugs.

Please get him to watch the movie Requiem for a Dream. PLease, it’s about drugs and it will scare him silly. If you want to force him, tell the rehab to send a van and two guys over to take him. I’m sure they will.
If his uncle is using and sharing I would report him to the police. As far as stopping him you can if he threatens your life OR his own then someone can pick him up and you can have him admitted to the hospital, but, until he realizes himself how destructive these drugs are, then, he wants to quit there’s not much you can do even as a parent. As much as I wish I could, I wish I could stop my son from smoking pot but until he realizes that it’s a dead end road there’s not much I can do but keep on loving him and telling him how important he is to me. I know it’s difficult to let them make their own mistakes but we could be worse off, they could be dead. Oh well, am I ‘not’ just a ray of sunshine today or what. lol
