My ex boyfriend was addicted to crystal meth since he was 16 years old. He was 23 when he went to rehab in may (he’s been in rehab for a year and he just turned 24 sept he’ll be out in a few months). Do you think he’ll see things clearly now?

He will likely never be very happy again because nothing can compare to meth and also if you take meth long enough it messes with your brain chemistry and stops you producing pleasure chemicals but other than that maybe.. (how the hell would you know? i have studied meth alot you freak you were hooked on something else that has different biological effects you moron)

Your first answer is complete ludicrous, dont listen to that
I wasnt hooked on meth, but I was hooked on pain meds, benzos, and other things. I can tell you that when I quit, I became like a superbeing in my mind. I could think clearly, speak clearly, and felt normal for the first time in forever.
I can tell you that he will feel better, relapse is always inevitable and does happen. That doesnt mean they are still an addict.
That first answer is such crap, you need to thumb that down to oblivion, they obviously have no idea what they are talking about
I have 3 brother’s that were heavily into this drug (Meth) as well. One is passed away at age 31! The other one is 34 and does have many side affects but so-far remains clean or drug free. The other brother is in Jail and that was the only way he has remained clean.
All 3 had in common one thing! They all seemed too find this Drug as a Copeing skill with life or problem’s they saw as Unable too handle and began useing too cope or figure there problems out with. Do I think he will see or understand in a clear-level mind set…? I would say He has too have a very strong support group of ppl around him… I personally have seen, My brothers quit and do much better then 6 mths down the road they used it too cope with yet another problem! When they begin too feel Hopeless or worthless then they tend to want that drug.. Good Luck it’s a very long battle!
