Question by James: Is there private or grant-funded graduate assistance available for folks with bipolar and addiction issues?
I’ve lived clean for nearly two years and manage my bipolar fairly well. I am interested in special education, counseling, speech therapy at the graduate level. Thanks.

Not that i know of… but you can apply for federal and state aid at http://fafsa.ed.gov

Unfortunately all of that sort of aid is for undergraduates. Once you are in graduate school you actually have to work for your financial aid (aside from loans) in the form of research and teaching assistant positions.
