Question by Abigail: Can the body heal itself after 17years of drug abuse??
My friend has completed recovery from years of I.V. drug misuse. He abused large quantities of crack, heroin, amphetamines etc for 17 years. He completed his recovery and has been clear for a year now. He is very healthy despite abuse and all bloods/ bp came back fine. Can a persons body really heal from this kind of damage through stimulants? He was a marine so he has always been fit and never gets even a cold. Anybody abused drugs like this and recover completely?

Only time will tell. I’m fairly sure his heart, liver,kidneys will tell him in the long run. I’ve done some speed in my time, and now have an enlarged heart that could kill me at any time, so good luck.
