Tonight on the news they mentioned making it legal. I think personally it is the right thing to do. Over the years they have always considered it a gateway drug. Which I could not understand at all. A true drug addict will be addicted to anything they want to be. It has nothing to do with a gateway drug. After all people who are alcoholic don’t start out with drinks with low alcohol content.
Addiction is part of a person’s character.

The idea that legalizing marijuana is not for everyone, only for those that use it as medicine, not to simply get “high”. California is legalizing it for people that use it as medicinal purposes.

Yes, then they will stop putting people in jail for possession. Also, they will regulate where it may be smoked and not smoked so people aren’t doing it where others can breathe in the second hand smoke. There will be less related crime and it will be less attractive to some people.

Well yes, but only if people wouldn’t grow their own! How can you sell something that people can do on their own! The Government could save billions, and get taxes off of it, if only people wouldn’t grow their own, but people being people, you know that won’t ever happen.
i think it is time to end the hypocrisy. either make marijuana as legal as tobacco and alcohol, or make alcohol and tobacco as illegal as marijuana. after all alcohol and tobacco are proven killers but are legal. marijuana is certainly no worse that either of them
No, they should not make this drug or any other drug legal.They should have never made alcohol legal either.Addicts will do anything to obtain what they need or want and alcoholics too.Addicts are dangerous,heartless,and miserable.You have no idea of what a person is willing to do to get what they want and their character is completely changed,once they consume their choice of high their whole inner self changes,they become aggressive,selfish,and calculating on how they are going to get their next or continued high and once they are stoned they begin to hallucinate,which is very dangerous.Addicts should never be trusted.You would have to be a nun to sustain or refrain from the practices an addict does to other people for themselves.Their confused,twisted,and really don’t care about anybody but their selves.Their thieves,con artists,killers,abusers,pimps,perverts,and all with a backstabbing smile on their faces.They deceive and illude the public only to the precious few that take as a downward spiral are worthy of understanding and forgiveness.Addicts do mock the public,it causes confusion so they can pickpockets and cause problems for others because their usually jailbirds with no future and want to see others suffer the same and worse.They lie about other peoples reputations,addicts are very spiteful and want to cause others shame and damage.They already lost everything and are jealous of normal and happy people.
Yes, it should be legal. And for you stupid people who say “why sell it if people could grow it?” ARE YOU STUPID? People can grow a lot of things including fruits and vegetables, but yet they still go out and buy them? Ok, back to the legalization part…The jails are full of people who were caught in possession of marijuana. This is overcrowding jail cells. While people are in jail simply for “possession”, there are bank robbers and other criminals being let go.
And another thing, NOBODY has EVER died from marijuana. Can you say that about alcohol or tobacco? Also, there would be less smuggling it into the country. If the government could tax it then they could make money.
