What are some careers I could consider?

Question by bmft: What are some careers I could consider?
I’m looking for a somewhat non-traditional job. I very much enjoy helping people in any way that I can, and was planning on going to school for addictions counseling and phlebotomy.

I am also a writer, photographer, and have always wanted to travel the world.

I’ve looked up so many different types of careers and schooling, but I guess I’m just wondering if I could get an outside opinion on careers you might think would fit me, or that I may be interested in. It would be very helpful, thank you.

That’s something that only you can answer. The best career path for long term stability and growth is health care. Who wouldn’t want to travel the world, but in reality , job wise, that is hard but not impossible to do. Its great to consider what you like to do but then you have to figure out whether or not you are any good at it. Take a stab at what you are most passionate about, start small and go from there. You will more then likely change jobs/professions multiple times in your lifetime, that is expected and normal. Take a chance.

I suggest that you take an aptitude test. An aptitude test assesses your skills and your interests and matches you to the careers that are right for you. A high school or college adviser can recommend a good one.
